Directors Calendar

Title- Directors Calendar , Medium- Digital (Photoshop) and Watercolor , Size- 11” x 17, Year- 2005 Description-Creating a directors’ calendar is particularly challenging. Inspiration for these works of art came from the subject itself. For instance, Akira Kurosawa was depicted in a water color painting. I was inspired by the fact that Kurosawa painted the story boards for the scenes in his epic films which he then captured on celluloid. I tried to bring out that spirit in the calendar design that I created. I tried to capture the personality and style of film making of each Oscar winning director featured in the calendar.
