Title- Sagar Manthan, Medium- Digital (Photoshop and Illustrator) , Size- 9”x 14” Year- 2018 Description- Sagar Manthan or “Churning of the Ocean” is a mythological event in Hinduism which represents the eternal struggle between good and evil to find the nectar of immortality. The book for which I designed this cover, tried to explain it in this contemporary novel based on the lives of Indian Diaspora that insightfully portrays the dichotomies inherent in the psyche of migrant people all over the world. I tried to capture that eternal struggle in the psychology of migrant folks through depicting the actual churning of the ocean in art form with a backdrop of contemporary architecture in an attempt to capture the true context of the novel itself.
